The dialogue between Yana Bibb and Julio Azcano reveals a keen improvisational spirit, a joy of playing and sophisticated arrangements.
With a sophisticated mix of blues and soulful jazz-songs, this is an evening sure to pull at the heart strings.

Yana Bibb’s interest in music was cultivated early by her father, Blues artist Eric Bibb, she also found inspiration in her grandfather, Folk singer Leon Bibb and her great uncle, pianist John Lewis of The Modern Jazz Quartet.
Yana received her formal training in Jazz Vocal Performance at the City College of New York.
Her debut album, «Not a Minute Too Late» came out in 2014, followed by «Afternoon in Paris» in 2016.
She has performed extensively in her former hometown of New York City including at The Bitter End and The Livingroom. Yana has also toured Germany, Austria, and Switzerland where she has played Lachensaal, Thun, La Spirale in Fribourg, and Moods in Zürich.
In the UK, performing in venues such as Cadogan Hall in London, Liverpool Philharmonic and Vicar Street in Dublin. In France, she has performed at several Festivals as well as at The New Morning and Sunset/Sunside in Paris.
In 2022 Yana graduated with her Master of Arts in Music Pedagogy from Zürich University of the Arts.
Yana currently lives with her Family in Switzerland and teaches Voice at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland.
Guitarist Julio Azcano plays internationally as a soloist and in cross-border dialog with musicians of diverse styles and cultures.
Performances with luminaries such as Dino Saluzzi, Leo Brouwer, Juan Falú and Carmen Linares and duo projects with Latin Grammy award winner Quique Sinesi, Yehudi Menuhin’s favorite student Volker Biesenbender, and tango double bassist Juan Pablo Navarro enrich his concert activities.
He is a member of the internationally renowned Eos Guitar Quartet, which was awarded the Culture Prize of the City of Zurich and to which guitar legends such as John McLaughlin, Ralph Towner and Mike Stern have dedicated compositions.
Rooted in the guitar tradition of Argentina, where he obtained his diploma in classical guitar, Julio Azcano deepened his knowledge of jazz with Kurt Rosenwinkel and with a Master’s degree at the ZHdK.
He is a lecturer at the FHNW as well as a guest lecturer and juror for numerous institutions and a doctoral student at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg (D) / HSLU (CH).
